Our fish stocks are ever changing, and it is impossible to give comprehensive
details of them, but we hope that the following give a flavour of the
variety & quality of our stock.
Important
please contact us to confirm availability before traveling,
if hoping to obtain fish shown on this page.

With coming of winter it is now too cold to
introduce fish to outdoor ponds.
If you have an indoor pond, or indoor holding facilities we still have
a reasonable range of Goldfish, Koi, etc. These will be over-wintered
and available for sale for outdoor ponds once the weather warms up in
Spring 2005.
We still have a moderate selection of pond plants at 20% off. Although
these will make little growth this year, if planted out now, they will
be already established and ready to spring into growth with the coming
of Spring.
Our selection of tropical fish at the moment is excellent, including
several species we're not seen before!
Our aim is to always have something for everyone, to that end as well
as the usual community species we also try to keep a good stock of rarely
seen community fish, as well a few "tankbusters" and specialist
species.
Unusual community species include

several different species of Rasboras, including R. kalachroma,
Mosquito rasbora, plus R. borapelensis & R. axelrodi (not
shown)
About
eight species of rainbows including some lovely Melanotaenia praecox
(left). M. lacustris, M. herbertaxelrodi and several others.

Most
gobies are brackish or saltwater species. the peacock goby - Tateurdina
occilicauda is a true freshwater species. Other gobies in stock
include three species of brackish water gobies - mudskippers, knight
gobies (not shown) and dragon gobies.
Other
brackish species in stock include Green & Orange chromides, Archers,
Monos, Celebes rainbows and bumble bee gobies
 We
currently have some fine small discus including "Lion Pigeon"
& "Blue Denim" varieties shown on the left.
 We
have over 20 different varieties of plecos in stock including the fine
specimens shown here.

 Finally
in no particular order we have a very cute Mbu puffer, but be warned,
if you fall in love with him you'll need a big tank; Mbu puffers can
grow to over two foot long!
Other fish likely to need a large tank include
Albino Polypterus & Sorobim lima (not shown)
Others worthy of mention include
Pikeheads Luciocephalus pulcher, a beautiful but predatory
fish -see below

Some nice pencil fish, blushing sharks and A. heckelli

Plus many, many more.
We've just received a delivery of nice Chinese fancy goldfish.
Once quarantined, these should be on sale in the next couple of weeks.
Other coldwater aquarium fish in stock include Denisoni Barbs (which
will also do well in tropical tanks - providing the temperature is not
too high) and rainbow dace

Our selection of marine fish is, even by our standards, excellent
at present. We will however be running stocks of fish down towards the
end of November. This is to allow us to install a new reservoir for
the fish system. Stocks of corals and other invertebrates will not be
affected by this work, and fish stocks should return to normal by early
December. All the fish shown in the photos below were in stock on 11-11-2004.
