We stock a wide range of invertebrates, however stock
levels do obviously vary,
so if you are travelling a long distance, or in search of something
particular then
please phone before you travel.
We hope the photos on this page give some idea of the
quality of our corals.
To keep Corals alive & healthy it's essential to provide
them with :-
1) Good water quality.
Tto achieve this don't over feed.
Don't over stock with fish.
Do carry out regular water changes.
Do use an efficient protein skimmer and an efficient filter.
Do use R.O. water as most tap water can contains high levels of phosphates,
nitrates, etc.
2) Good lighting
We recommend metal halide lights as first choice, but if these are not
practical
because of cost or space considerations then the new generation of T5
lights
make a good alternative. We stock a wide range of T5 products and our
staff
are happy to advise you on the best option for your particular circumstances.
Alternatively there are an increasing number of excellent LED lighting
systems,
these offer low running costs, and low levels of heat production, which
can
soon repay the initial expenditure.
3) Stable temperatures
try to ensure your aquarium is situated in a cool location and that
heat generating
equipment is well ventilated, to prevent the tank from overheating in
summer.
If necessary we can supply a range of aquarium chillers, but in the
UK at least,
careful siting of the aquarium usually avoids the need for these. |
